7 of the Most Luxurious RV Resorts Across the Country

Posted: July 8, 2021

You didn’t invest in a Class A motorhome because you like to “rough it” when you go camping, so why would you travel to an RV park or campground that expects you to do just that? If you’re looking for the most amenities, the most luxury and the best VIP experiences, you’ll want to plan a trip to one of these seven of the most luxurious RV resorts around the country.

1. Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort

Named as RV Share’s top best luxury motorcoach resort and boasting a wealth of other rankings to boot, Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is your place to park when visiting this popular South Carolina destination.

Set on 50 woodland acres and catering to Class A and Class C motorhome owners, the resort offers everything you need for a great time, from cable TV to WiFi to an on-site spa, gym, pool, lounge, pickle ball court, tennis court and more. There’s even an on-site dog grooming station and a dog park, in case your favorite furry friend is coming along for the trip. The property is gated and fully landscaped, and if you do decide to leave the resort to explore the rest of the island, you can do so via the on-site bike rentals.

2. Bella Terra of Gulf Shores RV Resort

Another highly ranked luxury RV resort, Bella Terra in Alabama doesn’t just let any RV-er in. This VIP resort requires that your RV be Class A, at least 32 feet long and under 15 years old. If you meet all the requirements, you’ll find a ton of fantastic amenities among the lushly landscaped resort, including an infinity pool, theater, putting green and fishing lake. Working on the road? The resort’s business center can help you out. Want to see the sights of Gulf Shores? The concierge is ready and waiting to assist.

3. Petoskey RV Resort

If your travels take you further north, check out Petoskey RV Resort in Petoskey, Michigan. A Sun RV Resorts property, the pet-friendly and gated resort offers a range of in-demand amenities, such as WiFi and cable, a hot tub and swimming pool, clubhouse, pickle ball court, tennis court, on-site library and an on-site gym. During your stay, you’re just a short drive away from some of Michigan’s best sights and sounds, including the Lake Michigan beaches and dunes, Mackinac Island, Traverse City and Michigan’s wine country.

4. Zion River Resort

If you don’t necessarily plan to hang around the RV all day during your next trip out to the Southwest, consider booking a stay at Zion River Resort, near Zion National Park. Situated in a picturesque valley on the river, the resort boasts views for days, all the amenities you expect from a luxury RV park and excellent access to some of the area’s best spots for outdoor adventure, from Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon National Park to the Grand Canyon North Rim and beyond. The RV park even offers shuttle service to Zion National Park, for even easier visits. Amenities include rentable grills, propane refill services, an on-site convenience store, dog park, communal kitchen, heated pool and more.

5. Bluewater Key Luxury RV Resort

Who wouldn’t love RVing in the Florida Keys? Bluewater Key makes your trip even more enjoyable, thanks to a wealth of amenities that all start right when you pull into your large site. Each site is lovingly landscaped to create your own private oasis within the resort, featuring lush tropical gardens, outdoor seating, outdoor wet bars, outdoor televisions and more. Some of the sites even come with 25-foot boat slips.

Other resort amenities include a private dock and boat launch, dog park and storage facilities.

6. The Motorcoach Country Club

While many of the above RV resorts impress with their various amenities and luxurious facilities, none can still quite compare to Indio, California’s Motorcoach Country Club. Book the right RV sites and you’ll find that your site comes equipped with your own private pool, a private outdoor kitchen, private outdoor dining spaces, an outdoor fireplace and more. This is luxury living at its finest.

Beyond your own private spot, though, you can also enjoy the resort’s golf course, tennis courts, pools and restaurant.

7. The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course

Another California favorite, The Springs at Borrego is set on its own golf course, but even if you don’t care for a round of golf, you’ll still find plenty to enjoy at this resort. Activities include spa treatments, yoga classes, aerobics classes, tennis, pickle ball, volleyball, lawn bowling, fishing, live music and mixer events. Amenities range from three different dog parks to an RV pro shop to hot mineral baths.
